Harbins Park

Location: Gwinnett County, Georgia
Client: Gwinnett County Department of Community Services

Lose & Associates was selected to develop construction documents for 2 parks on 2 separate parcels located in this 1,800-acre site. On 1 parcel, the development included an artificial turfed multi-purpose football/soccer/lacrosse field with a concessions building, pressbox, and raised grandstand. It also included a 3-acre dog park, several miles of trails, a large rental pavilion, and a large bridge crossing of Cedar Creek. Unique to this development is a nature-based playground with an interactive water feature and play area. A 3-acre lake, fed by a well, was developed on site to provide water for future expansion of the site’s irrigation system. This site also required the completion of a standard County sewer lift station. At the other parcel, the development included a 7-field baseball complex with irrigation, and a maintenance yard with a storage building as well as another rental pavilion and large community playground development. Paved multi-purpose trails completed the development of the baseball complex.
