Pleasant View, City Hall & Maintenance Facility

Location: Pleasant View, Tennessee
Client: Town of Pleasant View

Lose & Associates was commissioned by the Town of Pleasant View, Tennessee, to develop plans for their new City Hall. The Town had recently purchased a manufacturing building for the conversion to a City Hall. As a small community incorporated less than 10 years, the city needed a multipurpose facility to include space for council chambers, office spaces for the city recorder, mayor, the police and codes departments, and maintenance operations.

Lose developed plans to retain the rear bays on the building for maintenance, convert the center bays for a council chamber and to expand existing offices deeper into the building to provide the required office space. The building had to be brought up to code for office and assembly spaces as well as fire protection for spaces housing maintenance equipment. In the renovation, a stair was added to access attic space to provide the city with an area to archive drawings and to install electrical equipment while maximizing the available space for offices on the ground floor.
