Tennessee River Trails Association (TRTA), Bike Pedestrian Master Plan
Location: Nine Counties in Western and Middle Tennessee
Client: Greater Nashville Regional Council
In the summer of 2015, Lose & Associates, Inc. kicked off a bike and pedestrian facilities master plan for the Tennessee River Trails Association (TRTA). Representing the nine counties bordering the east and west side of the Tennessee River, TRTA is an organization that was formed to jointly promote economic development through tourism. The Bike and Pedestrian Facilities Master Plan, funded through the National Scenic Byways Program is just one of many projects the TRTA has undertaken in their pursuit of obtaining a National Scenic Byway Designation. The ongoing project will inventory road networks and develop a strategy for increasing pedestrian and cycling activities and specifically bike tourism throughout the nine counties.
