Lose & Associates, Inc. was commissioned to design Victory Station, a new town center for the ten-square-mile Blackman region located in Rutherford County, a rapidly growing county in Middle Tennessee. The Blackman region includes a new school complex and a collection of residential developments along a busy state route. With so much activity developing in this region, the client desired a high-density, flexible community designed with New Urbanism techniques, creating a comfortable neighborhood close to necessary services and offices. With this goal in mind, Lose & Associates designed a mixed-use development with a continuous path system controlled by design standards, resulting in an urban environment with the amenities cities lack and the variety suburban life prohibits. Victory Station provides a mix of activities throughout the development, including corner retail, residences, restaurants, offices, medical services, and recreational centers. With the activity of an urban environment, the closeness of a small town, and the continuity of a suburban landscape, Victory Station is equipped to suit people who value a quality, diversified neighborhood.
