Originally, Winston Hills was planned as a single-family residential subdivision. Lose & Associates revised the plans to include residential sections along with a mixture of commercial properties, including a fire hall and community center with playground, pool and a clubhouse. We led a successful effort to get the property rezoned to permit this new concept. The residential part of the development includes three separate sections – a section designed to appeal to empty-nesters and young professionals, one with larger homes for families and a gated section. In addition to the community center, the commercial areas will include a retail development, office space and some restaurants. Additionally, Lose & Associates developed design standards and architectural controls for all buildings, signage, etc. within the development.
